About the RoleWe are seeking a versatile and inspiring Art Instructor to deliver multi-level, multi-medium studio programs. In this role, you will lead dynamic classes and workshops for participants ranging from absolute beginners to advanced creators, guiding them through a broad spectrum of artistic disciplines.
Beyond technical instruction, you will foster an inclusive environment where participants feel confident experimenting across different mediums and developing their personal artistic expression.
Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Medium Instruction & Facilitation
Teach art classes, workshops, and creative sessions across diverse mediums (e.g., painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and contemporary crafts).
Adapt instruction, techniques, and projects seamlessly for complete beginners, intermediate artists, and advanced participants.
Lead engaging sessions for both adults and children, adjusting pacing and communication accordingly.
Guide participants through their individual creative processes, offering tailored feedback, problem-solving support, and technical demonstrations.
Support private events, group bookings, and custom corporate workshops.
Curriculum & Concept Development
Design multi-level lesson plans, seasonal concepts, and innovative workshop formats across various mediums.
Research emerging art trends and introduce new techniques, tools, and creative mediums to expand studio offerings.
Collaborate with the ROCARTS team on exhibitions, community projects, and integrated gallery-studio events.
Studio & Material Operations
Prepare studio setups and reset spaces efficiently between different classes and mediums.
Maintain a clean, safe, highly organized, and inspiring studio environment.
Track supply consumption across all mediums and notify management when reordering is required.
Ensure proper maintenance, care, and safety protocols for all art tools, equipment, and mediums.
Key Requirements
Background: Degree or equivalent experience in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related visual arts field.
Instructional Experience: Proven experience teaching art across multiple skill levels (beginner to advanced) and age groups (children and adults).
Multi-Medium Expertise: Strong proficiency and comfort working across a wide range of mediums (e.g., acrylics, watercolors, oils, sketching/charcoal, clay/sculpture, mixed media).
Adaptability & Engagement: Ability to differentiate instruction on the fly to meet individual student goals and skill levels.
Interpersonal Skills: Warm, patient, highly communicative, and adept at creating a non-judgmental, creative space.
Languages: Fluency in English is required; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
