Role Description This full-time on-site Chartered Accountant role is based in Mumbai and focuses on core accounting, audit, and financial compliance activities. Responsibilities typically include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing statutory and tax audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and overseeing general ledger and month-end closing processes. The role may involve budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Day-to-day tasks can also include tax planning and filing, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, documentation and reporting for management, and continuous improvement of financial controls and processes.
Qualifications
Professional accounting and audit skills, including strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and statutory and tax audit practices.
Taxation and compliance capabilities, such as experience with direct and indirect taxes, regulatory filings, and adherence to local financial regulations.
Financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
Analytical and technical proficiency, with strong Excel skills, familiarity with accounting/ERP software, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Communication and stakeholder management skills, including clear documentation, reporting, and collaboration with management, auditors, and external partners.
Chartered Accountant qualification (CA) with a valid membership from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India; relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, audit, or finance.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of an on-site team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in corporate, consulting, or public accounting environments in Mumbai or similar markets is an advantage.
